Well, it works as long as the battery holds a charge. Like all batteries, it begins to fail over time. But the problem with this whole setup is that these guys don't sell their custom battery pack separately with exposed metal terminals. I contacted their support, wrote to their twitter and was ignored on all fronts. So now I have a $50 controller stand. Stick to the official MS Play and Charge Kit. Or any other company behind their products.
