Best Xbox Remote - Xbox One

Much better than a gaming PDP that has a terrible back button layout and forces you to press buttons harder than you should. The button layout for 8Bitdo is perfect.

Pros
  • Complete Set
Cons
  • Useless Features

Good but not programmable

Works well and feels high quality. But I'm frustrated that I can't program the volume buttons to control the soundbar or whatever like pretty much every other primitive remote (cable, screen, games console) I have.

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons

Works very well with accessories

The remote control works just as well as the original Xbox remote control. All buttons work fine. The backlot is thin and not too light. My only bet is that it doesn't look premium, it appears to be plastic, I was hoping for something like the original Xbox remote. Basically does what it was designed for

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Some difficulties

It is not ready for Xbox One

Back cover for batteries is not removable. I try to pry with a non-sharp piece of metal. Do not go. it's coming back Garbage. UPDATE: After reading other reviews I now see that the back is one piece. After a bit of work I removed it. Batteries are inserted. Now the remote works. Thanks to all.

Pros
  • Good for many
Cons
  • Expensive

The back cannot be removed to add batteries

Can't give a full overview as the back cover is SO HERE I can't remove it to put the batteries in the box. This is bad design for the remote control that I was hoping for. I do not recommend. Update: Finally managed to put batteries in and use the remote control. I like it, especially the backlit keys. One downside is that it's a bit difficult to keep it in the right place to control the Xbox.

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Without machine gun

Many buttons don't work

The remote feels good and looks good. Unfortunately, many keys actually do nothing. The standard Xbox buttons work fine, but the following don't work and/or have issues on the LG GX and Xbox Series X TVs (like the programmed OneGuide button) - 0-9 - CLREdit: I have the 8BitDo- Contacted support and asked them to upload a YouTube video showing the buttons not working. I'm not sure why this is required. I will be returning the item and am hoping for a revision that addresses the above issues andโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not sure

The Xbox Media Remote era has been pretty depressing since Microsoft discontinued the official Xbox Media Remote a few years ago. The only other company making an alternative is PDP, but both successive designs had a creaky build quality and an infamously brittle battery well that popped out at the slightest touch. When I saw that 8bitdo released their own media console for the Xbox I, I was ecstatic. Build quality is what you'd expect from a company known for solid gaming controllers, theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • No manual

Nice remote, still IR

People who can't remove the back cover of this remote: Slide off the entire back cover, not just part. It also took me a little time to figure that out. 4 stars for several reasons. This remote control comes without instructions. Not on the web either. Once I realized that there was no pairing and that it was an infrared port, I quickly got to work. You need to enable HDMI-CEC on Xbox and TV if you want power and volume to possibly work. . Because the implementation of these features is notโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Quality workmanship but a few design flaws

Let me first say that I'm a big fan of 8bitdo products. I have several of their controllers and other devices and when I see one of their products that interests me, I buy without hesitation. However, anyone interested in this product should definitely check out the reviews to make sure you understand what you are buying. As mentioned in other reviews, the first thing you need to understand is that this is NOT Bluetooth. The product description should state this specifically as I bought itโ€ฆ
