I think many people bought OSMO for their vacation camera. After a while, using the included case can get a little cumbersome, especially when it comes to using accessories. I bought this protector to alleviate some of these issues. The product works very well but I had a problem on the beach. Undoubtedly, when using the stabilizer and in strong winds, sand gets into the protective cover and / or on the sides of the stabilizer. The tread combined with the sand severely scratched the suspension. It would be nice if there was some kind of fabric or something to solve this problem. So, I recommend that if you're taking it to the beach, although it can be a pain, I'd go with the manufacturer's case. I don't think it scratches the gimbal nearly as badly.
