I bought an original Soundsignal kit that included the same compressor and was not satisfied with the quality of the kit. the air hose could not withstand the pressure and burst. The air valve wasn't holding pressure; it leaked constantly and quickly wore out the compressor. I had to buy a different compressor and air valve from a different brand that worked better. The compressor itself works perfectly. The compressor is not the best compressor for a diesel truck but works great on trucks from 1/2 to 1 ton. You can definitely be heard when you lift the horn. Make sure you don't connect directly to the battery. It must be on a switched circuit to prevent it from running all the time. There is a short piece of plastic hose in the area of the expansion tank compressor. I removed the plastic and replaced it with copper tubing and compression fittings.
