First of all I got used to my Quarq dzero bb30 crankset. So I compare with the additional features of Assioma pedals. First, they just connect to my Garmin Edge 830. I only needed 1 puck (included) to tighten the Ultegra 6800 crank. Second, Garmin now actually shows power stages, power stats, and more. This is not only interesting for me, but also tells me where my maximum power is in my pedal (which I have never seen before). Finally: For less than $800, you get all the functionality of a crank-based power meter, but with smooth, comfortable pedals. I use the included red spikes and set the tension to medium minus 1 click so they are snug but not too tight. 1 and the only CON I have: when you start kicking with the latch on the side: the unfixed side spins like crazy making it difficult to get back up after stopping.
