Stump and blades don't make good contact
They didn't seem particularly sharp, but I've also noticed that the blades tend to lose contact with each other if you're not careful when closing the scissors. The scissors aren't very thick, so flexible enough that the blades lose contact if you apply force that doesn't match the hinge. Tightening the screws doesn't help.
