Far from waterproof and not ideal, at least in my case. The positive element fully entered but the negative element did not, leaving about 1mm of metal exposed. The cords aren't very flexible, but if slightly heated with a lighter, they pull onto the connector. They may not return to their original form, but that's enough. All in all it's tight but not ideal for a waterproof connection.
