I'm so glad I found and bought these bowls. We eat dinner in the family room very often so we can watch TV while we eat. These bowls are about the size of dinner plates but hold food and sauces. They are excellent for regular meat, potato and vegetable dishes as well as casseroles with sauce and juice. They're too big for us for soup, salad, cereal, but perfect for spicy or succulent casseroles, beef goulash, Chinese dishes, etc. I also found them perfect for breading chicken, fish, etc. Bowls, bowls I didn't have wide enough to fit one large fillet of fish or a chicken breast pounded on a flat surface. I put beaten eggs in one and breading in the other. I can dip food into both dishes without completely dipping the fish or chicken in the egg and breading one piece at a time. This will make the breading process much faster and easier. I love that these bowls are bright white and match our other dishes. The sides aren't deep enough to get in the way, but hold sauces and juices well. They are also a good weight and strong while still offering an elegant presentation. In addition to the uses already mentioned, I also see these bowls as serving dishes, fruit bowls and more. They really are very versatile and their uses are only limited by your imagination. Needless to say I highly recommend these bowls. I hope this review was helpful to you. I will update this review if my opinion changes.
