I followed the instructions that came with it exactly, except I waited about 20 seconds after dipping and then very, very easily brushed off the excess with a brush powder. They come with a brush so I don't know why this point isn't mentioned in the instructions? The process was absurdly easy although I thought I did something wrong but they look and feel exactly the same as after I got my nails done at the salon. I went through a number of tutorials before trying it myself and some of them have conflicting instructions. Many people say you have to be very careful with your nails before using the activator as the product can shift, but this kit says you are good at filing and shaping the nail pre-activator. Coming to this step I was a little scared and thought I might have bruised the base of my thumb a bit, but no! It came out perfect! So yes - works great! Just follow the instructions!
