I put them on the roof of my car (which has a car cover) to keep cats away. You work most of the time. Sometimes I see cats on the floor mats in my car. Not perfect, but better than nothing. You have to periodically remove and reattach them to the car. Some of them broke (mostly in half) due to poor forming. When ordering them, look for sections that connect with very thin sections of plastic. If you don't see or don't know what to look for, reduce the section and if there is a point that gives way very quickly. yours is bad. If you put them in a place where you won't move them, my issues with them are moot.
