This device requires an application to be downloaded in order to be able to set the FM station used. It's factory set to 96.4 and most cars don't even let you select decimal radio frequencies so you essentially have to set it. The application is poorly translated from Chinese and not translated at all in some areas (e.g. language selection and country). It was a problem. Also, after setup, you can uninstall the app and just use it as usual. The sound quality is good and the compact size means I can hide it in a collapsible ashtray. UPDATE: I noticed today that it doesn't automatically shut off with the car. So if your cigarette lighter is always on, it just stays on. This can kill your battery pretty quickly. I'm not sure I'm going to leave it for that reason. I also noticed that it doesn't automatically pair with the Bluetooth on my phone when connected, so I have to manually connect each time. I get in the car, which is frustrating.
