I wasn't expecting much...actually, let me rephrase it: I use it in a 55 gallon tank. This light is designed for a 10-15 (or less) gallon tank. And that would be a great light. But it's too small for my use. But I was also too stingy to buy more lights. However, I had trouble getting it to work with a timer. On/Off is a button, not a switch. I'm pretty sure it will reset if it loses power. So it turns off but not on. Maybe I'm just incompetent. Great non-invasive light for watching my elusive catfish at night.
