This post is for future buyers. I have a Janome Artistic SD18 long arm machine. The bobbin winder on top of this machine stopped working because the ring was worn out. I was able to flip the ring and keep working for a few more months, but then I was in a bind and couldn't find the part number. Trust me I did some research, bought the wrong ring, emailed, letters, whatever it took to get a part number. My amazing, wonderful, intelligent and helpful husband used calipers to determine the size of a worn ring. He then researched until he found the right size my car needed. This ring is size 15-287 which is the right ring size for my long arm. Gathers beautifully and sews beautifully! Please note that this ring comes in two sizes, one slightly smaller for vocal machines. Hope this helps someone as I wasted time and money trying to locate this part. The best husband!
