Great value for money, good but not professional design

I bought this set to use with my small to medium sized church speaker system. I found them easy to set up, reliable and very good sound quality (we've only used lavalier mics so far). The included batteries didn't last very long, but so far the alkaline spares have lasted for weeks on the hour every Sunday. There is individual gain control at the receiver as well as adjustment in the transmitter behind the transmitter. Battery compartment for initial adjustment setting (I didn't have to change it). The transmitter's power switch is "muted" in the center position, and you can accidentally overdo it and turn it off altogether. But I didn't notice any noise when turning it on. Sensitivity is very good, and the mic connector screws into the transmitter, eliminating the risk of it getting in your pocket. The wires on the mics are a little stiff and, being folded in the package, they are quite good at remembering curves. I did not see it in the description but for connection to an amplifier. Batteries were also included as mentioned above, but these are cheap dry cell batteries that are only really good for initial setup and use. Well in case you forgot buy some and you must, range wise they worked fine even if they were about 60 or 70 feet and through 2 walls. I didn't try to walk until they stopped work, but they are more than enough for our normal use at 20-30 feet and I haven't noticed any interference or dropouts. The design of the receiver base corresponds to a cheap consumer electronics device such as a cheap Wi-Fi router. It's okay, but definitely not a professional device. If you break your tune every night and throw yourself in the back seat of your car, invest in a soft, hard-shell carrying case. All in all thumbs up.

Pros
  • Microphones
Cons
  • Price piggy bank
