Review on Say Goodbye To Tying Laces With Xpand'S Elastic Shoelace System - Perfect For Adults And Kids! by Andargie Waiker

Tough to get just right, may or may not be worth the effort

Initially setting these up was pretty straightforward; lace them up, put them through the holder tabs, cut the laces, and snap the little end-snaps on. Overall, the system is very well engineered; the holder tabs make it so it's virtually impossible for it to come loose, and the end-snaps clamp down on the ends of the laces after you cut them to length so that they don't unravel. The instructions say to leave 2-3 inches on each end so that you can get them adjusted; I left about 2 inches and I'm glad I did because after about an hour, the laces really started to hurt, and I had to continually adjust them until I'd used up the entire extra length. They take a couple minutes each to adjust, and the fact that I had to continually adjust them made them cumbersome and annoying. The end-snaps are also somewhat bulky, and if they get into the wrong position inside your shoe, they will make your shoe feel like there's a hard rock inside your shoe; it's very uncomfortable. Once you get these adjusted correctly, you can trim the laces to exactly the right length, then you won't feel them.Overall I found these to be nice, and I really like the selection of colors, but they're not really worth the trouble or extra cost.
