These are great for their portability as long as you have realistic .
These are great for their portability as long as you have realistic expectations of the softness of light you will get. Part of the way a traditional softbox works is by making the light source much larger than just the light itself. These don't really make the light source all that much larger, as they're barely larger than the LED panel, but it does soften the light a decent amount. Definitely useful for times when you don't want to lug a larger softbox around with you.
