Review on πŸ”§ Improved Keter 18-Inch Cantilever Tool Box - Model 17186819 by Aaron Hawk

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good but would be nice to add another 1/2 inch

Great little tool box. The top and bottom are packed with removable storage bins for nuts, screws, bolts, etc. I love the design because you can take your bin to work and free up space from the toolbox. Simple but very effective. You will not have items that are "mixed" due to the design. The fit is good and tight. The containers intended for the lower part are about 3 times larger than the upper ones. All containers nest neatly inside each other when not in use and in storage. There are no complaints about the performance, everything is well attached and works as it should. The tool box is very low and rock solid. The handle is recessed completely flat to fit in tight spaces or for easier stacking. This box also has some pins at the top and bottom that are small but seem to interlock. I don't have any other, so I can't verify it exactly. I bought this unit to use on Kreg screws and tools. On the top you have enough compartments to store any available pocket screw. The transparent top makes it easy for you to see them even when closed, saving you a little time and effort. The bottom is big enough for my two kregs and my pocket jig. This is not the main block but the smaller of two whole blocks with a plastic case. I also have enough space for a few other things. Only downside, it's nothing you can pull off, but for those wondering, this is it. It's just that the hair is longer and deeper which makes this thing last a lot longer. I was able to fit my drawer installers almost below but it was too small. I like the kit the way it is so I think I'll just pull out the fasteners and clamps and put the bottom drawers back in with other essential items like screws, studs, nails, bits etc that I'll be using this one . just for fasteners and plugs, and get another larger (regular) tool box that will fit all my fasteners, clamps, etc. This box would work just as well for an electrician's troubleshooting box. It can store many connections and diagnostic tools. It is worth paying attention to them. I'm pretty sure Keter makes Kreg tool kits. I've compared them to a bare minimum and they seem to be the same in terms of construction. If you want to save some money, buy this box instead of the Kreg box. Aside from the logo and color, it's the same. But don't confuse this (18 inch) with other larger types. Keter (and "Kreg") have big boxes like this one.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Almost everything is there
