Solid multipurpose box

This is a very versatile box. It is designed as a tool box with a removable inner tray. However, it is excellent for any type of storage. If you need more space just leave it inert then you have a pretty deep bowl for everything you need. Also, I've seen them used as a project box to drill holes for switches or outlets for any project you can think of. Overall, this is excellent value for the level of flexibility it offers.

  • Price
Cons
  • It's OK

Not bad for a cheap lightweight tool box

Considering this plastic tool box costs under $18, that's not bad. It's made of lightweight plastic with plastic hinges and two plastic and wire clasps. Inside there is a removable tray and plenty of space. It doesn't look like it's meant for hard work, but I guess that's to be expected given the price. If you plan on carrying it to work or using it to store heavy items, consider a different box. But for light crafts or household appliances, it is quite suitable.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Expensive

Good size for around the home Tool chest

I bought this tool chest to clear out a trash can full of tools. It's a bit larger so it takes up a little more closet space than I was hoping for, but it's well worth the extra space cost to be able to keep all the tools in one place. Suitable for hammers, channel locks, C keys, long screwdrivers and all small things like Allen keys. Gave me back my tool box and it still looks a lot like a home tool box, not a spot in a garage.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • No instructions

Looks solid but only time will tell

It appears solid even if the latches don't work (they are mostly plastic) there is room in the middle to put a padlock or similar attach to otherwise keep the lid closed. However, it should work fine for my purchase. I bought for painting supplies so that they can be transported easily (paints, brushes). I made it a little whimsical using a stencil I had made and spray-painted the design (I sanded the area first). I think it will work fine for my intended purchase.

lid has plastic hinge pins

This USA made Plano toolbox is featured in the top 10 toolboxes in the Revain video at #5 and for the price it seems excellent. However when the actual item arrived today, the lid hinges (rear) which are meant to take the full weight of the time when loaded (along with the metal locking hinges over the plastic) have *PLASTIC* hinge pins, not metal. Quality boxes that use plastic grommets (or hinges) as the hinge use metal hinge pins. This product uses plastic hinges that "snap" onto plasticโ€ฆ

Good value for money, durable, simple

I will be using this tool chest primarily to store magazines and cleaning supplies for my firearms! It's a very durable plastic and should be fine. It's also quite spacious so I can fit almost everything I need in it. I bought styrofoam to line the bottom so my regular forks don't rattle and rumble as much. I noticed that the latch plate wasn't drilled very well, but man, that's a minor defect. A hammer and a screwdriver open this hole and everything will be fine. This toolbox will breakโ€ฆ

  • All right!

I ended up buying a household tool box, here it is

I'm in my 60's and I literally can't count the number of different sizes and styles of tool boxes I've had. I know I have at least 7 other different brands of tools in my shed for different families of tools and supplies. Definitely the perfect tool set for me to have at home. Why: First, it's a large size. I hate overcrowded toolboxes and they should hold every possible hand tool for the house without having to rummage through them. Second, I'm not a fan of plastic, but plastic beats metalโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for me

  • Doubtful

Awesome Tool Box AMERICAN MADE

This is the best little tool box I've bought in the last 20 years. I always buy these little tool boxes with some commonly used tools in the car just in case. I've bought a few over the years because they're all junk and don't last long. Everyone else is doing it cheap in Mexico now, and believe me you can see it. The clasps are all plastic which wears out quickly and the tool pouches are terrible too, but it's all you can find at Lowe's or Port Charter or any other department store so you hadโ€ฆ

I love my microscope carrying case!

Update 06/30/2021: I'm still happy about this purchase. I carried my microscope around in this tool kit and worked in biological labs for about six years. FWIW, photos (1, 2, 3) show one way to package microscope parts in egg carton foam, bubble wrap, and plastic bags. I separate the head and eyepieces from the main body, but YMMV. The standard school supplies box is great for small items.* * * * *Sturdy and deep. good pen. The clasps are plastic but strong. The tray comes out immediately. With
