Review on πŸ”¦ Bioluz LED Dimmable Retrofit Recessed Industrial Electrical Lighting Components: A Comprehensive Review by Eric Young

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great upgrade for glow cans.

Media could not be loaded. I am very happy with these Bioluz upgrade kits. I have 8 6 inch cans of 75 watt incandescent bulbs in my playroom that I decided to try on and the results have convinced me that I should replace the rest of my old ones. Can shine with them. It doesn't matter that all 8 bulbs use a little more energy than a 75 watt incandescent bulb, the light they give off is much more pleasant. So you save money and look a lot better, which is not to like. The Sylvania bulbs I had had a color rating of 2850K, which is somewhere between warm white and Bioluz's soft white substitute. I chose Bioluz Soft White (3000K) and am happy with my choice. They appear to be much brighter despite being rated for an equivalent power of 75W and dimmable so gently that I can create any mood in the room. Brightly lit for lounging on the couch with a good book, or dimly lit so I can still see the TV remote while I'm watching a show, and somewhere in between my dimmer to keep us warm even at lower light levels, with Bioluz bulbs I can dim them to near zero for hours and not heat up the dimmer at all. The installation is very easy. I swapped out 8 lamps in about 40 minutes because I was lugging around an extra ladder and tripod to prep footage for my review video. I think I could replace all 8 in 20 minutes if I just put them in. It's almost as easy as changing a light bulb, it takes an extra minute or two to remove the decorative ring from an existing glass and install the Bioluz kit. And yes, in the video I said "open the spring and remove the can" and it was a patch ring for the can, not the can. My mistake. I was a little worried they wouldn't work well with my 15 year old dimmer switch. This is the type that has the slider right next to the slightly narrower switch, but those fears have not materialized. They dim better than the bulbs they replaced. They go seamlessly from full brightness to full brightness and anywhere in between, and there's no annoying high-pitched hum from the lights that I've experienced with other "dimmable" LED bulbs. All in all it's a fantastic replacement for old incandescent bulbs and costs about the same as an LED replacement bulb that fits in a jar but looks a lot more modern and cleaner. There's no reason not to love these Bioluz lights. Grab the pack and try it yourself, you won't be disappointed.
