I looked at reviews of these stations (metal, wood) and really liked the look of this station. I have an Ankar 6 connector, colored okray USB connectors (so I know which is which) and plug it all together (fits snug enough but wear it BELOW or risk your electronics falling on the floor. I have everything , including laptops, phones, lighters, headphones, earbuds, dictaphones, everything needs charging and it shows and organizes them perfectly I put this on a large Belkin surge protector (12 plugs, one on/off switch, indicator light) to keeping my toys safe from electrical problems (I live in an area known for surges and lightning strikes; I use them around the house, especially in the kitchen (bread maker, microwave, etc.) and at school. I use them at least 15 years old ; I have never lost a computer, microwave, TV, bread maker, treadmill or anything to power surges or lightning strikes (I live in one area where this is common), no loss, no worries.
