Outside is soft. Inside, no - I felt the cheap $3 Walmart sled felt softer. The gloves are your typical $1 Walmart gloves, except there is a giant hard tag on the inside of one glove that needs to be cut out. Even if you cut it as close to the seam as possible, it will scratch you. I'm going to use my tiny cuticle scissors to try and cut the seam to remove the label. My son is very picky about rough scratchy tags so he doesn't wear gloves unless I remove them. I would recommend the person making them to drop the label.
