It has a metal piece with screws attaching it to the handle. I didn't really want metal in it because it could possibly damage the fiberglass shower I bought it for if/ when it was dropped, not to mention that it could eventually start to rust, since I wanted to keep it there.I would have returned it, but someone in the house stashed it away and I didn't find it in time to make the return window. It will probably work for glass on the car, but I am still looking for a good shower type.
