Wow, I'm so happy! I do a lot of craft shows and five days a week my glue gun is on 7-12 hours a day - it works. The last few I bought were large professional pistols (I figured that was what I needed). The mess, space for footprints, and waste from the dripping glue was driving me crazy. A few weeks ago I had a teaching class and needed a smaller, more portable one, so I ordered this little kid thinking I'd just use it as a "guide weapon." First the stand - if you've never used a glue gun with a stand, you have no idea how much you're going to appreciate it. It's amazing the difference it makes when there is NO mess at the tip of the gun. Second, the weapon's lightweight design is great - you really do get more control, not less. Also, there are no drops at all, ZERO! So no waste, no mess, no drip tray needed, which also saves space when crafting. The cable is longer than other guns I've worked with, which is a big plus, and every inch of this gun feels well made and secure. The body does not warm up at all. It does the job well, delivering a targeted application of evenly melted glue right where you want it. The only thing I noticed that can be considered a problem (and it really isn't, I just felt I should mention something here) is a slight stuttering when switching from one glue stick to another. My favorite feature is the lightning-fast heat-up. So now my "tourist gun" is the only thing I use at home and on the road, the only thing I need. Definitely a 5 star product that I heartily recommend!
