They had the worst smell upon arrival. They smelled like cat pee. It was all in the bag, and I couldn't tell if it was in the bag or in the shoes themselves, although the shoes no longer smelled so badly once they were taken out of the bag. It was a very strong, musky smell of ammonia. They were delivered a few minutes earlier so I know not a single animal had time to get to them. It was so bad that I washed the shoes before letting my son try them on. The good thing is that they are very easy to wash and dry. They don't absorb water. They are true to size. They appear to be of medium width. They make great shower shoes at the gym and are easy to slip on and off here at the pool. They are comfortable and very casual.
