In general you buy speakers for the sound quality and they definitely excel at that. The treble and mods are reasonably detailed, and the bass isn't overwhelming like many other 2.1 computer speakers (I'm looking at you here, Logitech). Most of my doubts revolve around a few relatively minor quirks. First, the volume automatically resets to 40%, which is louder than what I usually hear up close and might surprise you when you catch it. I solved this by changing the computer source volume to compensate. But this is something to be aware of. Second, unlike my Logitech z625, these speakers can only play one input at a time, but again, switching inputs when needed is a little annoying, but not a deal breaker for me. Third, the remote control is the weirdest thing about these speakers. Its shape makes it a challenge to use in the dark as there's no way to tell exactly which way it's pointing. On the other side of this coin, there is at least one remote control that many computer speakers don't have. So take what you want Overall these are some of the best computer speaker sets I have ever heard and I am very happy with the purchase.
