Review on Columbia Womens Powerfly Hybrid X Large Women's Clothing ~ Coats, Jackets & Vests by Regina Vere

I love this coat! I wanted a jacket that I could wear to work if I wanted to, or just everyday shopping, errands, etc. I bought the XL in light burgundy and it's a lovely vibrant color - almost like royal blue but with a hint of purple to it, like a very dark periwinkle. I've had quite a few compliments on the color. The jacket is so light I was afraid it wouldn't get warm. I turned out to be wrong! The all-encompassing warmth warmed me very much. I went to New York, it was 42 degrees, the only layer I had under my jacket was a long sleeve t-shirt. Wearing a jacket with a scarf and gloves, I felt very comfortable walking the New York sidewalks in a light breeze. The stores were too warm, but perfect for the road, but light and easy to carry. The size. I usually wear Misses L shirts/sweaters. After reading reviews from others I bought size XL and am very glad I did. The jacket fits well, I'm only 5ft 2in so the sleeves are a little longer than I would like but not enough that I don't like the jacket. The sleeves are also a bit fitted and I have bigger arms but still fits well. I couldn't wear a sweatshirt or anything heavy underneath, but the coat is so warm you don't need it anyway. I really like the stretch panels on the sides that feel like neoprene material, they definitely allow more movement than a normal full layer. I would definitely recommend this coat. I chose this one after trying Powerfly Down and Mighty Lite II. I'm so glad I went with this!
