Review on Moody Tools 59 0247 31 Piece Miniature by Ryan Huhn

I don't like the way the "blades " (bits) are attached to the handle

I usually buy Klien and Wiha but this time I wanted Moody Tools in particular give it a try as they are an American company. I first heard about it while researching the tools sold by iFixit.com. They sell Moody Tools on their website but not as a set. Only if you buy the drivers individually and go for the "Pro ESD" line.[DESIGN]I couldn't afford to buy one piece drivers so I chose this set. However, when it arrived I was very disappointed with the way the blades were attached to the handles. One end is a bit and the other end looks like a flathead screwdriver. You stick the flat part into the grip, but it doesn't go all the way in, and then you put the tapered collar on top of it and twist it as tight as you can. Do it fast and you will stagger. central driver. Go really slow and line everything up correctly, you can get it just enough but it's nothing but a one piece driver or hex bit driver. Some blades go in very tight, some very loose, and some won't go in at all unless you bend the tip of the handle to accommodate the blades. I don't like this design at all. [GRIP] I was really looking forward to the ESD grip and thought it looks cool and will be very comfortable. They're comfortable but also feel a little cheap, and the top, which presses against your palm, creaks when you turn. A small complaint, of course, but my Wiha drivers never do that. However, I was very surprised by the quality of the solid metal handle. I was expecting it to be on par with the cheap precision drivers you get at Home Depot (Stanley, Huskey, General etc) when in reality it's much higher quality. If it was the same height on the ESD it would be perfect. [GENERAL] I like that they're made in the USA, but I feel like the design really limits their practical use. I would never take them into the field for fear of losing the blades. The ESD handle requires more attention. The all-metal handle is great, if a bit short. I would not buy this set or any other set from Moody Tools that uses the same bit blade design. If you really want to try Moody Tools, I suggest sticking with their one-piece, all-metal drivers, or buying a Wiha set instead.
