Review on πŸ“ž Enhanced Digitone ProSeries II Landline Phone Call Blocker - Automatically Blocks Numerous Pre-Loaded Blocked Names and Numbers with a Spacious Back-Lit Display by Justin Zilinskas

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I haven't been called yet.

So that's reassuring! A few months ago I was given a different landline number just to call 911 in an emergency. I gave my landline number to exactly ONE PERSON, my son. The day AT&T activated my number, I received non-stop calls with marketing offers. Since that day, I've had so many marketing calls that my Panasonic phone has filled a list of 300 blocked callers, so I had to delete the old numbers. It's absolutely disgusting that this is happening. These creatures even ignore your name on the Do Not Call list (JOK!). Of course, as usual, the burden of stopping harassing calls rests with us consumers. Hence the Digitone ProSeries II call blocker. I just received it two hours ago. The whole connection took about 20 minutes. Then another 20 minutes to figure out how to set the clock to it. ADVICE. Call your landline number from your mobile and this (or any other call) will automatically set the clock. You cannot install it manually. And DO NOT DISCONNECT IT, otherwise you will have to repeat this step. Ask me how I know that. :(CHANGE/UPDATE ON AUGUST 23, 2020: You CAN program the date/time manually using code 95 on your VOIP phone. You enter code 95, 2 digit year, 2 digit month, 2 digit day, military time and * for Saving example is today's date (23 August 2020) and time 18:00: ENTER - 95 20 08 23 18:00 * A little more convenient than calling your number if you don't have a cell phone I don't want anyone to have it Don't call me on this landline, I've programmed "Global Call Blocking" It blocks all calls except any number you've programmed for "Invitation" I only invited my son and DIL My phone should never ring again!* Happy Dance* Unless it's my son or DIL I'll update this review if that's the case Now for my one MAJOR downside and major annoyance of mine: Digitone lets their customers download and print their manual if you know want en how one really needs the case to be printed fifteen pages. Once again another company burdens their customers by making them waste YOUR TIME, INK AND PAPER instead of paying the shop and paying the printer to print their damn manual for their customers. This is a HORRIBLE new business practice that makes me very angry. Of course you can just leave the download on your phone or computer, but that's totally impractical if you need to program something on your Digitone. And believe it or not, not everyone has a smartphone or computer. I find this new way of doing business absolutely outrageous. Ink cartridges are EXPENSIVE and I don't like wasting MY ink and paper because Digitone is too cheap to print a damn manual for THEIR product. It's a terrible way to do business. If my phone ever rings again I'll update this review because it doesn't have to be. can call me Works exactly as I had hoped.
