These candles are amazing! There is only one major downside for me because I will be taking them to different places (I'm a yoga teacher and sound healer. I bought them for a camping retreat and take them to various classes) is that you have to remove the small one plate at the bottom to turn it to the OFF position. You really never have to do this if you just plant them somewhere forever. But when they are moved or pushed to the on position, they just turn on. So if you carried them in a bag or suitcase, for example, they could turn on and just suck the battery. Not too much of a disadvantage, but I wouldn't choose them again unless I just put them in the same spot. In addition, when using the remote control, they should be next to it. We tried camping, each person with one in the tent, and I had to go to the tent to get the remote to work.
