I am 5ft 4in and ordered a medium, fits just right. I have washed it once and happy it did not shrink. I wore this to a work dinner with my husband's company. I felt comfortable and I like the tie, it hides my tummy! It is sort of casual but can also be worn for a dressy occasion. The material is about medium thickness, which is good because I was worried it would be thin. I am happy with purchase and will likely order another in a different color. I ordered the black.
