When we first got the shoes I thought they were really cute and easy to put on and take off so that's definitely a plus. However, once my son started wearing them, he started complaining that they hurt. I thought they just needed to be broken in, but after taking his shoes off after school for several days in a row, he had a red spot on the back of both feet in the same place. The boots rub strangely, they press on the back of the foot and hurt a lot. He has an average foot and we have never had a problem with shoes so I would hesitate a bit before buying them.
