These earrings are beautiful and elegant. Although slightly larger, they are not "loud" or overwhelming. The flower itself is a little over a centimeter in diameter. From the top of the hoop to the bottom of the flower they are about 1 3/4 inches long. As one review says, the hoop and flower are unrelated. When you get them you have to pass the hoop through the center of the flower to connect the 2. At the same time, you can do this if you want to carry the hoop separately. So, in a sense, you can wear these earrings two ways (with a flower or just hoops). I wore them to my wedding and received many compliments not only for how beautiful they are but also for how unique they are. I look forward to wearing them again on other occasions.
