Review on πŸš— Maximize Vehicle Security with the Vulcan Classic Yellow Adjustable Loop Car Tie Down Kit - Complete Kit with 4 Straps and 4 Ratchets by Ben Swett

Poor product quality control.

I liked the idea of securing all four tires instead of the axles as the straps won't damage the painted axles or interfere with the brake lines on the axle. What I don't like is the quality of the product, especially the o-rings attached to the straps. The fairing of the two O-rings had burrs that abraded the webbing and caused it to stretch. If I hadn't found the problem by doing this, the belts would have snapped and the machine would have become loose. Instead, the straps were able to stretch, causing them to change position and eventually breaking the expensive car's fiberglass front skin. These belts worked great the first two times I used them (1400 miles) but failed on a recent 2800 mile trip. I was able to return home because I got rid of the burrs on the o-rings; although the webbing is damaged and now needs to be replaced. Also, one of the pawls was stiff and would not move to the locked position. A friend showed me a set of straps and ratchets he bought from Harbor Freight and they were of the finest quality. When purchasing this set, simply check all metal surfaces that will be in contact with the straps to ensure they are smooth. I wouldn't buy them again due to poor quality control.
