Took me about 15 minutes to install both. I have a 2020 M3P and the connector didn't fit so I had to use the connector that came with it. Adapter. There were no instructions, so I had to figure out where the connector went with a test light myself. The red wire goes to the red wire. As I understand it, but it's always good to check. If you're using the adapter that came with it, I strongly recommend that you tape them together so they don't fall apart in the door. Don't worry, everything will go back to normal when you turn the light back on. Overall this is a great product for such a low price. The logo is very bright (it is not visible during the day). It's a lot brighter than the standard light, which I didn't even know I had at first because it's so dim.
