Review on πŸ“· Sena PT10-10 WiFi Action Camera: Multi Prism Tube for Helmets by Floe Rankin

Slim, light, can't wait to see future versions of

Slim size and design are very beneficial! Easy on/off control, easy mounting options (I used a clip), speaker and mic hookup was easy. Great video, good sound, I have a cheap helmet that lets a lot of wind noise through. Mine lasts more than 2 hours, I'm using a lower frame rate and the quality is still great. I want to connect to my Sena Bluetooth kit. I confirmed that this is not the case before ordering from sena. Too bad I don't need a speaker/microphone. I now have 3 speakers and 2 mics in my helmet because I want to know if it works when I slide the switch. I also didn't want an empty cable hanging, so I added a microphone. I don't have to record conversations but if something happens I might be able to provide license plate info or a description of what I'm seeing just to help with traffic issues. The Sena app works well for aiming and setting, it uses Wi-Fi not Bluetooth to communicate with the phone app. I have to fiddle with the pairing every time I use the app. Once connected, you can easily set up a loop recording and lower the recording frame rate to save battery life. Again I did several rides over 2 hours and he didn't die. Curious how much life he had left when my travels were over. It takes about 4-6 hours to charge after a ride. Not recommended for long trips, you never know when something will happen and I prefer to record every moment. Some people say they plug it in and drive and it runs non-stop. I don't want a cable going from the bike to the helmet. Maybe someday I'll take a portable charging case in my jacket to try out long exposures. Overall I am very happy with the device, got what I expected and works as expected. Great smooth camera for short rides (less than 2 hours total).
