In short: 4 stars because of the stupid end buckle PROS: 1. He can sleep in his crib 99% of the time and we didn't have to worry about the sleep switch.2. When he is sick or has a day off, he can easily and safely sleep in our bed.3. His arms and legs don't get caught in the cradle's slats.4. Great for on the go. It fit perfectly in our large suitcase and it was a lot easier than having to deal with packing and playing in multiple places. It's also great that his bed can come with him when he travels, so he always has a familiar place to sleep. Easy to clean and reassemble. CONS: - Stupid buckle won't stay closed. You would think that for $200 they would include one that works. The pristine white cover is a little rougher than I expected. Feels like velvet. My son moves his head from side to side when he's struggling to sleep and I swear that contributed to his balding haha. Covered for a while with a softer blanket, tightly pulled together on all sides. - Price. It literally consists of 3 parts (super thin base pillow, long body pillow and cover). I can't imagine it costing a lot of money but who knows. I really think it's overpriced for what it is. I was a skeptic. I saw it in someone's birth register before I got pregnant and I confess to silently condemning it. "Seriously, $200 for a pillow?! Ha, good! I'll be more practical with our next child." Then God laughed and laughed. A year and a half later I had a newborn who hated to sleep. For the first two months we held him 24/7, both asleep and awake I was starting to lose my mind I know how many other "cheaper" alternatives I've tried (Boppy Lounger, Double Swing, MamaRoo, Babocush, Daybed etc.) Nope Baby hated the whole thing too, and instead of paying $200 upfront I spent about $1,000 preparing for Dokatot Oops Deep down I kept asking myself "Is this going to be the only thing that works?!โ When he was about 3 months old we took the plunge and took advantage of our latest signup discount. This wasn't a sleep miracle for us at all; initially he slept in it about as much as anything else he barely slept in (30-40 minutes at a time if any). Gradually this got better, and now , m At 6 months, he spends on average between 3 and 5 hours at a time and sometimes longer. (I know it doesn't sound like much, but for the first 3 months we all got up for an hour or two, so it's a huge improvement.) It's most likely age related and has nothing to do with Dokatot. However, I like having Dockatot for the reasons given in the PRO listing above. Yes, we started out as skeptics, but this thing has grown on us. I wish I had skipped the other gadgets and gotten this one from the start so we can make more of it. Unfortunately, at 6 months and 18 pounds, he's pretty much outgrown it. (Now it looks like it's resting on the bumpers instead of hiding between them.) We love our dock so much we moved it to the Grand. Hope it lasts a few years!
