Looks like I bought the wrong one. DecoArt used to sell metallic colors that were almost solid. It was applied by rubbing with a cloth or even with your fingers. You can paint something dark and then rub the metallic paint into the highlights to eventually cover maybe 90% of the surface leaving the pits and crevices dark. An excellent effect that is difficult to achieve with ordinary paint. Well, it's regular paint, liquid like water and applied with a brush. Very prosaic and very uninteresting. In general a complete disappointment. I already have shelves full of regular metallic paint and don't need these expensive items. I have a big project that would be perfect for this old paint, but it's useless. The same manufacturer has something called "wax", which may be true, but the material I used was definitely paint and not wax.
