There are a lot of user error reviews on this product so I decided to step in and help you with a potential purchase of this item. I have owned this set since September 2015 and have had NO PROBLEMS with it. They are installed instead of my factory fog lights and I only use them for fog, rain and off-road. I have led them through mud, heavy rain, thick fog, snow, ice, sleet, swarms of bugs. and extreme heat (112+ degrees Fahrenheit) in Death Valley. I've never had a problem with these flashlights! Connection is easy and the brackets are very strong. The housing does not leak and the seal around the frame/lens does not deteriorate over time. The light output is wide, straight and as bright as a single LED strip. When properly aligned, it can travel the distance from the bumper to more than 50 meters before losing light. Does not dazzle the driver and keeps a good shine while driving. "It still amazes me how well it cuts through fog and rain on the Autobahn. When they're on, I can clearly see painted lines and road signs while maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles. I bought two more for another project in early 2016 and will buy them again in the future. The comments about this product are the result of users not knowing how to properly install, connect or even use it for its intended purpose. If you can connect two wires together and power it from a 12V DC source (or from a switch and relay like I did) you should have no trouble installing and operating it. Heck, test them out with a 9V battery and see for yourself how bright they are! Imagine what 12 V can do! :-D Why spend $$$ on the same headlights when you can get them for less than $15! There's no point in looking elsewhere. *shrugs* I'm just saying. In any case, I chose to write my review here, which was my own and was not paid for or promoted. I'm just so tired of "user error" comments that detract from a product's value and I thought you (the reader/prospective buyer) needed a fresh look and a good positive review. I hope this helped.
