Surprisingly shocked at how cool this cheap smartwatch turned out to be. My 8 year old wanted an Apple Watch so he could call and text his friends, but I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a watch plus another $30 a month on a phone plan. I looked at many cheap smartwatches and jumped at the chance to buy this one. My game really paid off. At $30 for the watch and $5 a month for the Speedtalk smartwatch wireless phone plan, my son's watch works like a mini smartphone. He can make and receive calls and texts and I feel a lot better knowing that he can contact me or my husband and/or we can call him in an emergency or just say hello. The speaker is good enough for listening and speaking, especially for short conversations. I don't think I'd want to use it as my main phone for myself, but it could be 2G/GSM service compared to the 5G service I use in my cellular plan. I am completely satisfied and my son loves it. We'll see how long it lasts and how well it holds up, but so far this is his favorite gift. I have another one for my other son and they also use the watch to call each other. This gadget is worthwhile and economical enough for families with several children. I can even buy one for myself (remove the strap and just use it with a lanyard). Like most smartwatches, it's too bulky to wear as a watch, but it's such a great little device that it might be easier to carry around than my phone when running errands or exercising.
