I did my best to do a lot of research before buying any portable monitor. I've talked about getting one of the two monitors that mount to the computer and swivel on the sides, or a monitor at a lower price with a larger screen. I was very happy that not only does it work with my company laptop (2019 MBP with USB-C), I also wish it could work with my old personal laptop (2015 MBP that only had USB-A, Thunderbolt 2 and HDMI could be used. Yes it's old but I love this laptop lol). I was afraid it wouldn't be compatible since my personal laptop doesn't have USB-C. But this monitor worked perfectly with a USB-A to USB-C cable and an HDMI to mini-HDMI cable. So I can take it with me when I travel without worrying about plugging it into an outlet, no matter what laptop I'm using. I can still plug it into the wall to free up the USB-A port, and I've even tried it with a USB hub plugged into my laptop and it still gets power when it's on connected to the hub (mouse and keyboard were also connected). when testing).
