Very easy to set up and use. Only one speed - fast. Works well, not as well as the old epilators that pulled out hairs with almost barbaric efficiency. It doesn't hurt, but it also takes more back and forth motions in small areas to get all the hair. I've been using epilators for over 20 years so I don't have a lot of hair on my legs anymore so it's no problem to be patient and let go of this epilator. But if I was still pretty hairy I wouldn't find it very effective.
