It also has a variety of mounting options if you need to attach cameras, cellphones or tablets to the light itself. IN THE BOX Inside the box you will find the large ring light itself, a telescopic stand to attach the ring light, a power cord, a remote control (requires 2 AAA batteries, not included), 3 gooseneck cell phone holders and matching mounts, a tablet clip holder and a matching tablet mount, a regular camera mount adapter and instructions CONSTRUCTION The flashlight h at the bottom has a standard stand mount that you can use to attach it to the included stand or any other stand you wish to use. The back of the unit has a power cord connector as well as a power switch and two USB ports to power your cell phones when mounted on the light. In the middle of the lamp there are two knobs that can be turned as well as pressed. There are 3 mounting holes next to the handles that allow cell phone holders to be screwed in. There are 3 cold shoe mounting holes on the back of the device that can be used to mount a standard camera adapter. The tablet holder can be attached to the stand anywhere you want to use it. All phone holders and tablet holders have a spring-loaded design that grabs your device by the edges to hold it in place. the desired height. Each section is held in place with a standard set screw. When you have adjusted the stand to the desired height, place the main light unit on it and lock it in place with the other set screw. You can also adjust the front and back angle of the light before tightening it. Once you have your light stand installed, simply plug in the power cord and use the power switch to turn on the light. IN USE When you first turn on the light, it is in full brightness white light mode. The light can be regulated with the two rotary knobs on the lamp itself or with the remote control supplied. To adjust the light with the knobs, use one knob to adjust the brightness, while in white light mode the other knob is used to adjust the color temperature from warm, yellowish to cooler, white light. Quickly pressing the brightness slider changes the light between fully warm, fully cool, and a color temperature between the two extremes. To switch from white light mode to multicolor mode, just press the other button. In multicolor mode, the sliders work a little differently. A knob is used to cycle through all solid colors as well as several animated color patterns (two colors rotating in half, rainbows rotating, a primary color with a smaller part of another color rotating, etc.). The other knob is used to control the speed of the animation. Clicking the first button toggles between normal mode and sound activation mode. In sound-activated mode, colors and light patterns change when differences in sound are detected (e.g. when a drum is played in a song). The remote control gives you access to the same functions should you wish to remove the light. It will take some time to understand the functions of the remote control as the supplied manual does not explain the operation of the remote control very well and also the remote control shown in the manual is different from the one you actually receive. The remote control offers convenient switching on and off. Buttons so you can keep the main power switch on all the time and then easily turn it on and off with the remote control. There are arrows on the remote control that are used in the same way as the buttons on the main unit to adjust colors, brightness and animation speed. It also has dedicated buttons for quickly switching to solid red, green, or blue colors, as well as buttons for toggling to white light mode (oddly, the buttons labeled Y and W work the opposite of what you'd expect if the Y button were set to the switched to the whitest light and the W key switches to a warmer yellowish light). You can use the light on its own, or add one or more of the included mounting adapters if you want to attach devices to the light itself. The adapters easily attach to the mounting points on the light, allowing you to add multiple cellphones or a regular camera with a standard tripod mounting hole. If you install mobile phones, you can also connect them to the USB ports on the back of the flashlight for continuous power supply. PERFORMANCE Light works great. As expected, white light modes offer the perfect way to illuminate your video conferencing, vlogs, or even general photography. The color and noise sensitive modes are interesting, but I don't think most people will need them unless you need some fun party lighting if you're not using the light as a real white ring. bright. Different mounting options work well too, but I'm also not sure why you would want to connect 3 phones to the light at the same time. Maybe there's a general purpose for this that I don't know. I think the most likely use for the light would be just a white ring light with nothing attached. You can place it on the side of the table when using the webcam, and there is no need to mount the camera on the light source itself. SUMMARY If you're looking for a larger ring light, this 18-inch model is a solid choice. . The color options are a nice bonus, but even if you don't plan to use it or the various mounts that come with it, the flashlight is still great for general white lighting thanks to its wide color temperature range and large diameter compared to many others. ring lights.
