Review on Burton Burke Hood True Black Outdoor Recreation by Grant Nordstrom

Great hood! So glad I bought it. I was looking for a hooded balaclava that would fit over a knitted baseball cap, much like the hood of a hooded sweatshirt. This would allow me to ditch the sweatshirt as a layer. That works great. Fits well and roomy. I didn't give it 5 stars because the part that covers the face is a little loose and it would be great to be able to tighten it optionally. It's also not windproof and a slightly thicker fleece would be great. I understand this is made for snowboarding so it's not too bulky and is expected to have layers and a helmet underneath. I've been on a boat trip on Lake Erie with temperatures in the 30's and light, it rained all day and this hood worked great. Didn't get wet and kept me warm. The price of $25 is worth it. Especially compared to the $8-15 Revain 6+ blends I tried before buying these.
