I don't usually like to give a bad review on a unit when I get a broken unit that's easy to replace, but I ended up with two cars, both completely useless, when the car lit up, before I installed anything. It was a bad sign. The machine kept freezing threads in various applications, Chrome Windows became completely unusable, and simple games I was running (some 2D programs that wouldn't tax the computer) went completely black. I tried updating the graphics driver and the machine stopped booting and Windows recovery stalled for a short time after it started and then the machine bricked completely. In the second case, the machine became absurdly slow within 20 minutes of takeoff. first time. Chrome was the only app I was able to install before it became useless. It took minutes to open ProcExp to see if anything was working, but there were no signs of disk, network, or memory usage. I left the car for an hour and it got worse. I rebooted and the bios menu was slow! And trying to run Windows installed from a flash drive was slow and also didn't recognize the hard drive and mouse so I couldn't install (there are no hard drive drivers on the ASUS website). I turned off the machine and came back a few hours later and it worked fine for a few minutes. Within half an hour it became slow again and after a few minutes I couldn't even boot it. It looks like an overheating problem. Two cars and two faulty devices. I've had good experiences with ASUS, but I wouldn't trust any other identical device. One note: Tablet mode does not stack correctly. It's a little loose and stays open unlike other ASUS tablets I've owned. This made it much less attractive as a tablet. That's the whole non-working thing.
