These guards seem like a good option. I lost my protection and was offered a replacement for over $700. I was able to glue one (of 4 included) to my upper row of teeth and it has been working well for me for over a month. I think I'll wear 2 or 3 sets a year, but $18 for 4 is a trivial price. The protection is relatively soft and comfortable, although thicker than I'm used to. Fitting the new guard to my upper arch took practice, and I ruined a set by using water that was too hot. I have no experience with other brands but they seem to work well and are excellent value for money.
