I had a spark plug fly out of an aluminum head so I was looking for a solution. This kit is expensive, but the money and time saved by repairing the head in the field is more than double. Removing the head requires at least 4 hours of disassembly, a $30 tool kit to keep the cams and cam gears in the same position, and at least another 4 hours of reassembly. I haven't included the actual repair because I'm not exactly sure what all the options are. The first fix was a $1,000 head replacement, with no head bolts, cam bearing bolts, etc. The Time Sert tool kit was very easy to use. They recommend using their insert tool oil, you can use any oil but I went with their formula. It only took me about 15 minutes from inserting the tap into the spark plug hole to pulling the insert installer out of my head. Overall, the tool works flawlessly and I highly recommend it.
