Replaced some old dying DC LED strips with these. 12 inch LED strips will get hot after a few minutes of use. The 16-inch strips are warm in comparison, but not as hot. A little suspicious, I still don't like that they are so hot. Too bad they give off so much heat. These AC light strips are easily dimmed when an important small kitchen appliance is turned on on the same circuit. In addition, our coffee machine flickers / goes out about 2x per minute for about 10 seconds. This is because nothing essential works in the circuits and there are no other oddities in the kitchen circuits at all. On the other hand, they turn on instantly (compared to the short delay of most DC powered LEDs), which is great when paired with Z-Wave smart plugs that turn on when someone enters the kitchen, and turn off again after a few minutes.
