I was definitely impressed by the difference in sound, especially in certain situations. Install the app and play around with the settings because it makes a world of difference if you're 1ft, 3ft, 6ft away and recording and speaking behind the camera or in front of the camera, or interviewing someone, or recording music or Play instruments etc. The app has easy settings for all these things. Check out the video I took (make sure you're wearing headphones so you can hear the difference) and you'll surely notice the difference at the beginning of the video when I was next to the phone and 6 feet away , and the difference inside at the end of the video. For the part where I moved my voice, I think I had the wrong setting in the app, but I left it in the video because I wanted to show what happens when you have the wrong setting, so set it Just make sure you adjust the settings in the app and do a quick test before recording so you know you've got it right. The microphone is lightweight yet durable and comes with a small protective case. The only thing I'd like to point out is that with a thicker body, this mic won't be able to connect to your phone unless you use a small dongle to plug it in. I just tested it with a thinner case and it worked fine.
