My daughter is about to be six and wears between a small and a medium. I bought this in size 6-8y and it fits her well with a little room to grow. It is more of a thicker cottony material than a thin spandex but it’s fine for her since she’s in beginner ballet. She likes that the skirt comes off even though she always wears it with the skirt. The ruffles on the sleeve are a cute addition to the style.
