I was looking for a lunch box for my backpack so I didn't want anything big. I didn't want anything accidentally getting into my backpack. This neoprene bag did it. It was a little bigger than I imagined, but it fits well in my medium sized backpack and has plenty of room for other things. Although it folds vertically, the bottom straightens up when you put something in, like a sandwich or container, and you can easily stack groceries. It closes with a zipper and the zipper has good stretch. If my backpack is quite full, I fold the handles down and it usually goes in straight away. Of course, this is a soft container, so you still need to keep an eye on it when traveling with shredded food. I usually put some sort of container on the ground and then put items that can be easily damaged on top of it and that seems to work fine. I'm not sure I'd recommend this if you were going to be carrying it to your destination yourself unless your food was in containers inside or you're very careful with it. The price was right and the quality is great. .
